Chapter 8
How To Grow In Spirit
How To Start
Living In Spirit And In Truth
I came that you may have life,
and that you may have it abundantly
The person who does not know the way
believes whatever he is told.
But the person who knows the Truth
is able to differentiate what is true from what is false.

How To Grow In Spirit
To grow in spirit, do the following:
- Begin To See Yourself As Spirit, And Not As Flesh.
You are spirit inside the body, just like a balloon tied to a weight. The weight prevents the balloon from flying up to the sky. When you know yourself as a spirit, you cut the thread.
That is why Jesus do say, “According to you faith.” Those who believe that they are spirits, live as spirits; and those who believe that they are flesh, live like flesh.
There are many things which the spirit can do or see, which things the flesh cannot do or see.
- Know That You Are A Light.
You came from Light, and to this Light you shall return.
Reject the saying that 'You are dust, and to dust you shall return.'
- You Are Always In The Presence Of God.
Do not think that God is far away in the highest heavens. He is in the highest heaven and also present everywhere. You are always in the presence of God, just as you are in the presence of the sun during the day. God is one like the sun. Yet, His presence (brightness) pervades the entire universe, just as the sun is in one place and yet, its light pervades the environment. No one is ever alone.
- Recognize God As Your Father.
Since you were a child, they have told you that God created you. Now, learn the complete truth that God is your Father. You are exactly like God. The only difference is that God is already perfect, but yourself is still on the road to perfection. Just as a tree is already perfect, and the seed has to undergo process of germination, growth and maturity to become like the parent tree. That is why Jesus said, "You must become perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect." Matthew 5:48
You came out from God just as a spark of fire jumps out of fire. God is patiently waiting in heaven for you to return home, and not to punish or frighten you, but to glorify you.
- You Are Love, Loving And Beloved.
God is Love, Loving and Beloved. That is exactly what you are. God loves you and is patiently waiting for you to return home. Spend time to think on the fact that you are love, and behave accordingly.
- Find God Where He Is.
Many are busy seeking for God where He is not. God is everywhere. It is not a must that you go to a church, mountain or holy place before you communicate with God. If you want God to come to your side, before you finish calling 'God' He is there with you. Jesus expalined it clearly,
19 The woman said to Him, "Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship."
21 Jesus said to her, "Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."
John 4:19-24
- Recognise That God Is In Your Heart Waiting For You To Find Him.
“You seek and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” St. Paul said it clearly, “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” And Apostle Peter prophesied about it saying, “And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light (spirit) that shines in a dark place (in the body, flesh), until the day dawns (spiritual awakening) and the morning star (Christ) rises in your hearts;”
2 Peter 1:19-20
- You Are Like The Angels.
When you see the pictures of beautiful Angels, remember that you are seeing the picture of your spirit self.
- Observe Quiet Moments For Rest, For Spiritual Growth, And For Your Health.
Avoid noise, even noisy worship or booming sound and bombarding music. Have set time during the day or night when you are alone with God. Some call this period 'Silent Hour,' 'Meditaion,' 'Holy Spirit Hour,' 'Solitude,' etc. That is when you begin to see without the eyes, hear without the ears, perceive without the nose, touch without contact, move without legs, etc.
- Develop The Seven Spiritual Powers In Your Body.
The seven spiritual centers correspond to the Endocrime System in Biology. Biology teaches only the biological functions of the centers, without teaching you their spiritual functions. That is why Spiritual Science should be introduced in the schools, colleges and universities.
In the Book of Revelation, Jesus said, "20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me." Revelation 3:20
The door He refers to is not the ordinary door of a house. In prophecy, door means a human being, because his body is full of doors (mouth, eyes, nose, ears, pores, sex organs and anus). The door Jesus was referring to are yourself and the seven spiritual centers.
You develop the seven spiirtual centers:
- Not by force, penance or fasting.
- Not in a hury.
- Not by self-righteousness.
- Not by following ignorant relious leaders, who do not know the Truth.
You develop them:
- By having quiet times and meditation. But do not practise quiet times and meditation to the extent that you hurt people's heart with your silence. Be moderate in all actions.
- By slow and steady effort, as if nothing is being done; yet, much is being achieved.
- By selfless services. Delight to attend to people, to run errands for people, without asking for rewards. At the same time receive all good gifts with your heart, with blessings for the giver and gratitude to God.
- By Godliness, called Saintliness. Remain in the Father's love by being decent, committed, honest, holy, righteous, etc.
- By washing the feet with holy water, from time to time. All the parts of the body are connected like an electric circuit to the feet.
- By asking God in prayers to open the spiritual centers in your body.
- By praying for gifts of the Holy Spirit.
- By using the gifts of the Holy Spirit in ministering to people. An unused talent does not flourish.
- Pray God To Show Himself To You.
Moses did so and was shown the Almighty. At that time, Moses was not qualified to see God face to face, becasue Moses was just starting his ministry and needed to be purified. Later, after he was purified, he saw God face to face several times.
2 "Thus says the LORD who made it, the Lord who formed it to establish it (the Lord is His name): 3 'Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'
Jeremiah 33:2-3
- Submit To God.
Submit to God by dropping fasle teachings, beliefs and practices. Truth is what it is, whether you believe it or not. Your belief does not affect the Truth. Instead, false teachings, wrong beliefs and milseading practices prevent you from finding God. And there are so many of false teachings being taught and practised today in most of the religions, even by those churches that claim to be the best.
- Begin To Value Your Dreams, Visions, Trances, etc.
How can you draw the Angels closer to yourself when you everyday ignore and mock their messages? An Angel travels more than 93 million miles to earth to deliver a message to you, and you wake up and say, “It is a dream from fever.” If your Guardian Angels do not give dreams, visions and trances to you, then what else are they doing for you?
- Inquire From God About Your Plans, Decisions And Actions.
Become like the wise man, who would consult experts in taking decisions. Consult God in your plans and actions. At least, pray that the Holy Spirit direct you in your everyday routine and engagements.
- Perform All Duties As Service Offering To God.
That is how to love God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your life. Live and work for God, not for salary or reward. Do everything as a service offering to God. By so doing, you turn an insignificant duty into a very important service. This is the best offering expected from you, and that is why you are a living sacrifice unto the Lord. Think about God always.
Address a letter to an ordinary man, and everybody would overlook it. But, address the same letter to a President, and it immediately becomes very important and respected by everybody. The Army would fight to recover it, and the Police would keep sleepless nights to protect it.
- Know That This World Is God’s Own School.
The world is God’s own school. You enter the school by birth, leave it at death, and come back to it through reincarnation. However, the End Time is bringing the times and opportunities for reincarnation to an end. That is why you should strive to find God while there is light, before night falls (before it becomes too late).
You are spirit. Spirit does not die. For example, on several occasions, I have crossed the bridge called death, only to discover that life is everlasting, a continuity. Death is not the end of life, and birth is not the beginning of life.
- In Doing Your Everyday Duty, Remember God.
When you remember God in your everyday routine and duties, yourself and whatever you do become full of Holy Spirit. This is the simple Truth. When you entertain thoughts of fearful things, you become fearfull. Likewise, when you think of a delicious food, your mouth begins to water. Therefore, remember God while living your everyday life, so that your life and works shall be full of Holy Spirit.
- Seek And Grow In The Knowledge Of God.
It is not enough to believe. And reading one holy book is not enough. The real problem with many people is that they want to go to heaven, but they are not ready to spend their money on books that teach them about the heavens. Get DivineBase books and read about God and life. Learn the Truth from someone who actually knows. If you do not have money to buy books, use your handset to browse the website on the Internet, www.DivineBase.com.
- Do Not Be Possessive.
Avoid attachment to people, things, environments or properties. Become passers-by. Practise Detachment
- Learn To Forgive And Forget.
Consider the parable of the troublesome fellow, who everyday has one case or the other to settle. He is never free and concentrated in his career, because he is busy fighting against one person or another. At the end of the year, he has nothing to show for it, while others delight themselves with their overflowing harvests. Stop complaining; stop bearing grudges; and stop murmuring. Forgiveness sets you free and makes you spiritually mature.
- Love One Another As Children Of God.
How can you see God or go back to Him when you hate His children, who are the doors that lead to God?
- Perform Your Duties Without Expecting Rewards.
Perform your duties without expecting rewards, without expecting thanks, without expecting praises, without expecting persuasion and without expecting force.
Even in places where you are paid salary and benefits, do not put your trust on those salary and benefits. Instead, put your trust in God, who can prosper your in many other ways.
The fact that somebody did not thank you is never an excuse for you to stop doing good. How many times have you thanked God for the sun, which everyday shines to your advantage? Have you ever thanked God for the ground you step on? And you have not thanked God for the air you always breathe!
- Do Not Fail To Practice And Encourage Philanthropy.
This is the easiest and quickiest way to heaven.
- Sincerity.
Let your ‘yes’ be yes, and your ‘no’ be no. Anything more than these comes from evil. Avoid lies, even little ones or those lies you joke with.
- Use The End Time Baptism Of Water, Holy Spirit, Consuming Fire And Blood To Pull Down The Strongholds Of Wickedness.
Stop begging!

From Wisdom Of The Ages
An inability to stay quiet is one of the most conspicuous failings of mankind.
...Walter Bagehot
Silence is the great teacher, and to learn its lessons you must pay attention to it. There is no substitute for the creative inspiration, knowledge, and stability that come from knowing how to contact your core of inner silence.
...Deepak Chopra
Action speaks louder than word, but silence better than both.
...Nweze Raphael
Accustom yourself to silence, and you will eventually begin to hear the voice of God. Then one day, unexpectedly, you will find yourself in His presence, where all is love, peace and eternity.
Meditation brings wisdom, while lack of meditation encourages ignorance.
...Nweze Raphael
A quiet mind is all you need. All else will happen rightly, once your mind is quiet. As the sun on rising makes the world active, so does self-awareness affect changes in the mind. In the light of calm and steady self-awareness, inner energies wake up and work miracles without effort on your part.
...Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj
Spiritual enlightenment comes little by little,
as if nothing is happening.
Yet, much is being achieved.
If you rush, you miss the track.
And if the enlightenment floods in,
you will be overwhelmed.
...Nweze Raphael
To know all, is to forgive all. This is freedom and detachment.
...Nweze Raphael
